I’m Christen! 

An RN, Master Empowerment Coach, and trained breathworker who helps nurses struggling with burnout, moral injury, and lack of thriving relationships that come from a nursing career.

I rated my stress level at the start of our session at a 7; afterwards I honestly felt like it was about a 2.

    Since my session with Christen, I have found myself breathing in and out, if only for a few minutes, whenever I feel anxious or irritated about something. I get where you’re at because I was there!

Burnout and moral injury are significant but honestly, they were the least of my problems.  I was unhappy and unlucky in love. I struggled with the relationships in my life. 

If there was a douchebag within a mile…chances are he’d be the one I was attracted to. 

A long line of cheaters, liars, and addicts left me questioning my own judgment in relationships.  I felt like I couldn’t trust myself

Desperate and hoping the next guy would be better, but often times he was worse. 

Between work and my love life, I felt humiliated, unloveable, and like the biggest failure on the planet. I would think…

Why was I so exhausted and drained all the time?!

How did I end up dating someone like that?  

What was wrong with me?!

Then one day, as I got ready to get lost in a world of pizza and video games I asked for help: 

“God, I don’t know what to ask for but I need something.  I need help.”

Less than 2 weeks later I’m sitting across from my own coach.  I began my own journey of self-discovery, healing, and transformation.  

My confidence grew and I felt hopeful again.  I realized I’m more than the value and labels put on me in healthcare.

By the way...I did all of this while I was still working as a nurse!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I live far away, can I still work with you?

    Yes, I offer both in-person and Zoom sessions so distance isn’t and issue.

  • How long are your sessions?

    Each session comes with an hour of coaching and an hour of breathwork. They are each approximately 2 hours long

  • How often are the sessions?

    I recommend 1 session every 2 weeks. There is a little flexibility with this as I know some schedules are busier than others.

    I do not recommend going longer than every 3 weeks for a session. You’re worth it and deserve making yourself a priority

Breathwork is a powerful process that opens the door to deep self exploration and transformation. Breathwork simply incorprates the unique power of your own breath, music, and connection with your higher power. It is very complementary to meditation. Meditation can be mind calming and breathwork can be body calming.

I am not a mental health professional. This process can bring up intense emotions and strong physical experiences. There may be issues that surface from participation in Breathwork requiring additional therapeutic or supportive interventions.
